Mark your calendars for Family Trivia on Sunday, January 30. Bring your family and friends to form 4-8 person teams and join us for a ton of fun. The 9th graders will be serving lunch after the 10 am mass and then we will begin with Family Trivia. Everyone can contribute to answering questions about Jesus' Family, Father John's Family, the Family Dog, and of course, the Family Cat, to name just a few categories. This will be a great time for all ages and we hope to see you there!

ST. MARK STEWARDSHIP AND SOCIAL CONCERNS:
Join Us...
Resolutions for 2022 - More time spent in prayer? More physical exercise? How about combining them?? Would you be willing to put your prayers into action and exercise your stewardship duty?? Exercising stewardship would be helping your parish care for the gifts that God has given to us, including the environment, encouraging parishioners to identify and use their time and talents, but also reaching outside of our community to assist others through projects and actions. So, please consider marking your calendars and meeting in the St. Mark Parish Center on Tuesday, January 11, at 6 pm with the Stewardship/Social Concerns Committee. We will be looking at what we have been able to do the past couple years, but more importantly, we are looking for ideas, opportunities, possible projects to develop in 2022! Everyone is welcome! Faith Formation Notes from Brooke & Jody:
* There are no classes on January 5th (Pastorate Catechist in-service at St. Joe's at 6:30 pm).
* Faith Formation classes will resume on January 12, 2022. The second graders will have their first reconciliation interviews with board members.
* Please pray for our 2nd grade students and their families as they prepare for their first reconciliation on Sunday Jan 16th following the 10 am Mass. As always, we thank our families for their wonderful support of their child's faith formation journey.
* All Emmaus Pastorate Confirmation students will meet with Father John on Wednesday, January 19, at 6:30 in St. Mary's Upper Room. (Food by St. Mary)

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM:
On December 26, in addition to celebrating the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we welcomed to the church, Tanner Scott West, infant son of Brian and Anne West, who received the Sacrament of Baptism at St. Mark. May God continue to bless Tanner and his family.

DID YOU KNOW?
Question: What is The Epiphany of the Lord all about?
Epiphany means manifestation: a presentation, showing, or display. The Church celebrates this "manifestation" of our Lord to the whole world on Sunday, January 2, 2022. After He is made known to the shepherds of Bethlehem, He is revealed to the Magi (wise men, three kings) who have come from the East to adore Him.
Isaiah assures the people who have been in darkness that the light of God's glory will shine on them and that their faith will attract people from afar who will come bearing gifts. This provides the background for the star, the travelers, the camels and the gifts: all signs of the advent or coming of God's salvation.

Homebound Ministry:
If there is a homebound Pastorate parishioner who would like a visit from Father John and would like to receive Holy Communion and/or the Sacrament of Anointing, there is a parish coordinator who will help schedule these visits. Watch for additional information coming soon.
