We will be having our Safe Environment training this Wednesday night during class (next week if bad weather and no class this week).  There are parent resources available as well.  Please see letter below from the Archdiocese.  If you do not want your child to participate, please contact Deanne Wulfekuhle:  563-542-1358.  

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), 

The Archdiocese of Dubuque takes seriously its call to provide the safest possible environment for all of our young people.  As part of that call, we provide information to parents to help them and all of us to be more informed of the issues and topics related to the abuse of children. It is our sincere hope that by partnering together we can continually provide the safest possible environment for all our young people to grow into healthy, Christ-filled adults.  

We invite you to view the Catholic Mutual Group Training “Safe Haven - It's Up to You”  videos that all employees and volunteers in the Archdiocese are required to complete. 

As a parent you are invited to access these videos by following these steps:

Parents who view the videos through the “Parent” section will not be required to have a background check.  Parents who wish to be a parish/school volunteer, averaging over an hour a week, are asked to participate as “Volunteer” (step 5 above) as this will automatically prompt you through the initial background check process. 

On September 29, 2019, in response to real needs, and after broad consultation, Archbishop Jackels announced the start of a special appeal, called ArchdioceseOne, to help the poor and to support the mission of the Church. In March of 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to pause active fundraising for ArchdioceseOne. In mid-February, we’ll be restarting our fundraising efforts for this special appeal. You likely received a letter in the mail recently regarding this subject, but if not, Archbishop has made a video for you about this important effort he’d like you to see. It will only take about 5 minutes of your time to watch.
