Emmaus Pastorate Planning Session - On February 8, nearly 60 Pastoral Council and Finance Council members from all five parishes met to self-reflect on their viability, vitality, and effectiveness, as well as, plan for the future, all coinciding with the recent Synod survey initiated by the Holy Father Pope Francis and the Archdiocese of Dubuque. THANK YOU to everyone who filled out and submitted their Synod Survey!

ST. MARK PARISH LIFE:
On Sunday, February 27th, a fun Family Trivia event took place in the Parish Center. 9th graders prepared and served a delicious meal after Mass followed by fun fellowship in the form of a Trivia game! Several teams of 4-8 people joined in for some rousing rounds of Q & A. Categories included questions about Jesus’ Family, Father John’s Family, the
Family Dog and, of course, the Family Cat, to name just a few. A great time was had by all! Thank you to all who participated and to the 9th grade class for sponsoring this fun event!

Bible Study is back! In March of 2020, we had just started reading The Catholic Letters: James, Peter and Jude when Covid shut us down. So we will begin again on Thursday, March 3, at 8:30 am in the St. Mark Parish Center. Bring your old book (if you can find it!), but new ones will be available. Come for the coffee and conversation and take away a little food for thought. Call Jane with questions 563-920-5967.

Faith Formation Notes from Brooke & Jody:
EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!!!
A generous watcher of St. Mark Masses online, was watching our Thanksgiving Acts of Giving Mass featuring the various grades of Faith Formation students sharing the projects and ways that they had given to others. This person was so moved by what the students had done that she made a $500 scholarship donation to the students' efforts through the Ertl's Foundation. $100 was sent to the Clarity Clinic, the St. Mary's Food Bank, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, material for the blankets that the Juniors used to make for the newly baptized children in our parish, and dollars were used to buy puzzles for the residents of Lincolnwood and the Edgewood Convalescent Home. A heartfelt thank you goes out to this generous person and to all of the St. Mark Faith Formation teachers and students who participated!

Beautiful Acts of Giving by our Faith Formation students were shared at the Thanksgiving Mass on November 24.
1st-2nd - gathered pillows, sheets, and blankets to support the Sleep in Heavenly Peace effort
3rd - gathered gifts for Edgewood Convalescent Home residents
4th - donated food items to St. Mary's Food Pantry, stocked shelved, served meals, and visited new friends
5th-6th - made cookies to donate to Edgewood Fire Dept. and EMS as a thank you for their services
7th - collected and donated baby items to support Clarity Clinic in Dubuque
8th - baked cookies for our catechists and a monetary donation to Clarity Clinic
9th - sponsored a Trivia and Fun Event and meal in February
10th - prepared a meal for the volunteers who provide meals after a funeral of a loved one
11th - made blankets for newly baptized babies
12th - made gifts and cards, donated puzzles and pizza to the Edgewood Convalescent Home and Lincolnwood residents

EMMAUS MARRIAGE GUIDELINES are:
