"NATIONAL BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY" - SEPTEMBER 18, 2022
Eucharistic Adoration at the Emmaus Pastorate will begin again soon. Be sure to watch the bulletin for upcoming times and opportunities for this beautiful time of prayer with our Lord.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Basically it is a time to worship and show adoration of the Eucharist when not at Mass. On the altar, the Eucharistic Host is on display so it can be seen by all and prayers can be said in the real, true presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
What do I do during Eucharistic Adoration?
You should always genuflect to show your respect when you see the Lord in the Host, You'll want to remember that you are in the presence of God so continue to be respectful, and if you are not alone, respectful silence.
Appropriate gestures of prayer include simply sitting, standing, or kneeling before and viewing the Blessed Sacrament. Do what is comfortable for you.
This is a special time to spend time with Jesus, our Savior. Through prayer, open your heart and speak to Jesus, then listen to him.
