Faith Formation

Suicide Awareness for parents/students:
March 17th at 7:00 at the Castle Theater in Manchester will be showing the documentary "My Ascension." Emma Benoit will be present to do a Q&A afterwards. This is a powerful story. Space is limited so be sure to mark your calendars and go early so you get a spot.
Film Synopsis: On June 7, 2017 Emma Benoit decided her life wasn't worth living anymore. It was the summer before her senior year of high school and on the outside her life looked perfect. She was a stunning varsity cheerleader with a supportive family and lots of friends, but on the inside she was filled with darkness, depression and anxiety, and had never told a soul about it. A series of miracles saved her life, but a self-inflicted gunshot wound resulted in a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed.

Parents, we will hold our annual Safe Environment training on Wed, March 22 during class. The Dubuque Archdiocese requires this annual training. Four women from our parish attended the Beauty In Christ Archdiocesan Women's Conference in February.
Next women's event on March 24 for a presentation on the Blessed Virgin by Dr. Edward Sri at Mt. Mercy University, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $25. Contact Fran Zichal (563-880-0872) if you are interested.

Pastorate News
The Emmaus Pastorate Directory
The Directory can be downloaded on your smartphone. All you have to do is let the parish office know that you want to download the directory and you will be sent an email from Universal Church Directories. Universal Directories will send you the information to the email address that is in the directory. If your email address has changed, please provide the current one. This email will contain an "unique identifier" for your family to use to download the directory on the myUCD app. Several attachments providing directions on how to find the app for either iPhones or androids will be included. The downloaded directory on the app provides the same information that is contained in the printed directory, but the app has the advantage that the information, such as phone numbers, can be updated and new members can be added. If you have any other questions or need help, please call Jane Christiansen (563-920-5967). If you find an error in the directory, please let us know so corrections can be made.
