Please continue to pray for our young people: for the ones who received the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time on their First Holy Communion on April 21 and also for our Confirmation students as they take the next step in their faith journey when they are Confirmed on May 11.
Faith Formation

First Holy Communion
It was a special day on Sunday, April 21, when these 9 second graders from St. Mark received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion after preparing their hearts during this year's Faith Formation classes. Many thanks go out to these students' parents, Father John, Faith Formation teacher, Beth Jaeger, Faith Formation Coordinator, Brooke Kerns, and all family and friends who provided meaningful, faith-filled learning opportunities for these young Catholics.

Congratulations to Austin Hansel and Traci Wulfekuhle (daughter of Harry and Kathy) who were married at St. Mark on April 20, 2024. May God join you in your journey and bless you with many wonderful years together!
~ BAPTISM ~
On Sunday, April 14, a new child of God was welcomed into our faith family; Lloyd Leonard, received the Sacrament of Baptism. His parents are Courtney (Mueller) and Karl Klocke.
Harry Wulfekuhle, a representative of the Knights of Columbus, presented a red rose and plaque to the parents of Lloyd Leonard Klocke who was baptized at St. Mark on April 14.

We also welcomed another little branch to the vine on Sunday, April 28, as Graham Alan, the infant son of Macy Gudenkauf and Kyle McGrane, received the beautiful Sacrament of Baptism. Welcome to our Faith Family, Little One.

It is the practice that parents of the Emmaus Pastorate participate in a Baptism class prior to each child's baptism. If you wish to have your child baptized, please contact John Uhal at the St. Joseph Parish Center at 563-245-2548 or j.uhal@dbqarch.org. Classes are open to all parents of the Emmaus Pastorate.
