Thank you to all who pitched in to clean our church readying it for Holy Week and the Easter season. We also thank Linda Williams and her environmental decorating crew who outdid themselves changing the decor during the recent Lenten season, Holy Week, and now the Easter season. Our church looked simply beautiful because of your hands, making this a beautiful place to worship. We appreciate you all!

Sacrament of

CONFIRMATION - JUNE 7 at St. Joseph

Please continue to pray for our Emmaus Pastorate Confirmation students and their teachers, Jane Christiansen and Diane Meyer, as they continue on their faith journey and come closer to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

6th Grade Acts of Giving

As part of their Acts of Giving plan, St. Mark sixth graders are collecting canned food items for Saint Mary’s Food pantry. They items will be delivered on May 18. If you'd like to join in on the giving, you can bring items to the church and fill the tub that will be available. How wonderful these young students are supporting this local need.

UPCOMING BAPTISM CLASS:

The final class for the academic year will be on May 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish Center in Elkader. All parents requesting baptism for their child are asked to attend a class prior to the baptism. Godparents are welcome to come too! To register, please call John Uhal at the St. Joseph Parish Center at 563-245-2548 or email him at j.uhal@dbqarch.org. Preregistration is preferred but not required.

On Sunday, April 6, Karsyn Kristine, infant daughter of Alex Fedeler and Taylor Bockenstedt, received the Sacrament of Baptism, surrounded with the love and prayers of her family, friends, children, and Emmaus Pastorate families. Welcome to the faith, little one!

That's what happened when Zoey Hyde of Sacred Heart received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, and Morgan McGreal of Sacred Heart and Jennifer Richmond of St. Mary both received their first Communion and Confirmation during the Easter Vigil held at St. Mark. Welcome to our Emmaus Pastorate family!
