Welcome to the St Patrick’s Parish Newsletter. As a response to concerns voiced at the town hall meeting on April 21st that there was not enough communication within the parish, we will try to send monthly updates to parishioners. The newsletters will also be posted at the back of church.

Building project underway!

REMINDER from the Council: All of the pledges have been tremendous and are appreciated so much! The project is running on schedule, and the bills are starting to come due, so please remember to send any funds marked "St. Patrick's building fund" to Sandy Klaus at PO Box 365, Edgewood, Iowa 52042, or you can put them directly into the collection basket, but please remember to mark the envelope "St. Patrick's building fund". If you turned in a pledge that was marked over a 3-year time period, the first payment is due June 15. All support at this time is appreciated.
Faith Formation
Congratulations to Josie, Waylon, and Olivia for receiving their First Holy Communion on May 5th.

Upcoming Faith Formation News:
- Summer school will be held on JUNE 11 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. We decided on having a one-day summer school because of the construction. We will begin our day with Mass at 8 am, and we will end with a picnic.

Stewardship
On the 3rd Sunday in June, our stewardship committee will receive the cash (loose cash only, not budget envelopes) that goes into the Sunday collection. Some examples of what past money has been used for would be to purchase food/gift certificate for the Steve Wiskus family at the time of Steve's accident last year, and we've also given $100 to Carol's Closet in Strawberry Point at the time of the fire. If you know of someone in need, please contact Father John, Lucas Thein, or Carol Steger.
