Welcome to the St Patrick’s Parish Newsletter. As a response to concerns voiced at the town hall meeting on April 21st that there was not enough communication within the parish, we will try to send monthly updates to parishioners. The newsletters will also be posted at the back of church.

SCRIP

We are trying to grow our profits with selling SCRIP with over 700 businesses participating. There will be paper order forms in the back of church (copy below). All proceeds go toward St. Patrick's building project. There is a website; feel free to check out all of the participating businesses! Thank you in advance for your support.

Fareway SCRIP will continue to be available as well. As always, the Fareway SCRIP profit will continue to go toward our religious education funds, but all other SCRIP profit will go toward St. Patrick's building funds.

Faith Formation

Summer School!

Attendance was fantastic! Teachers reinforced the importance of being good Christians and being kind to others

We started our day with Mass, we prayed together, we made a kindness web, we worked cooperatively with a hula hoop activity, we made a promise chain, watched a video on loving on another, we had music, and we ate together. Whew! We were busy!

THANK YOU to all the students and families that brought items for our Father's Day Breakfast. Families provided the bread, eggs, milk, juice, butter, and syrup. Thank you!

We served 90 people on Father’s Day--door prizes were also given.

Fun fact: Do you know how much food was needed to serve 90 people? 20 lbs sausage, 10 doz eggs, 11 loaves of Texas Toast, 2 lbs butter, 4 bottles of syrup, 2 gallons white milk, 2 gallons choc, and 4 OJ.

Free will donations were collected with $167 going toward the building project. Thanks again!

Faith Formation Registration

Please mark your calendars for the Emmaus Pastorate Faith Formation Mass/Registration kick-off! This is required for ALL students and at least one parent. Meal served from 5:30-6:15 with Mass at 6:30 on SEPT 4th in the Starmont school gym.

Stewardship

New soles for young souls

Money collected will go toward purchasing gift certificates at Thompson's Shoes in Manchester. Ed-Co families will be able to buy new shoes this fall.

We are asking that donations are turned in during the month of July. Donations need to be turned in by August 4th at the very latest, but please try to get them in during July, as school registration is Aug 7 and certificates are given then.

School Supplies

School supplies also accepted during the month of July. Please bring all donations to the back of church.

Thank you in advance for your generosity on both these important local stewardship opportunities!

Please let anyone on Council know of parishioners that are sick or hospitalized so that we can add them to our prayer listing and possibly visit them.

If anyone would like to be on a group to visit or assist our elderly or homebound please let us know.
