Stewardship
Tuesday mornings in Colesburg: All are welcome to join every Tuesday morning at 8 am for either Mass or Communion service. In August, we will have Mass on Tuesday, Aug 13th and 27th. We will have Communion service on Tuesday, 6th and 20th. There is adoration following Mass/service, and we invite everyone downstairs for coffee and refreshments each week. Please consider joining us!
Pay it Forward In June, there was $180 collected in the Pay it Forward collection (loose money in collection baskets on the 3rd Sunday of the month on the even months). The $180 collected will be placed into the Soles for Young Souls collection box.
Reminder: Sunday, Aug 4th is the last day to donate to the Soles for Young Souls and the last day to bring school supplies.
On August 18th, the cash/loose change in the collection baskets will also go toward the Pay it Forward fund. The funds collected on August 18th will go to the Luke Baade family. Many people may know Lori Keppler from our pastorate; Lori is the Faith Formation Director at St. Mary's church. Luke is her son-in-law. Luke was diagnosed with Leukemia last week on Wednesday and started chemo treatments the following day. He will be in Iowa City for the next 30 days undergoing treatment. Please keep Luke, his wife Catherine, and their children in your prayers.
SCRIP
What is Scrip? Simply put, Scrip is a gift card. St. Patrick's buys the gift cards from a company that sells them to churches at a reduced cost; when the cards are sold at face value, we make a profit. Did you know that Scrip is tax deductible? You will receive a contribution statement with the amount of profit that we have made from your purchases. The profit from the Scrip sold at St. Patrick's will go toward our building fund.
THANK YOU for the support of our Scrip program! We sold $1300 on Sunday, July 21st with approximately $1000 more preordered! Amazing! We will be selling each Sunday after Mass in Colesburg (church basement). The order form above only shows some of the businesses that participate. If you'd like to see more options, please go to shopwithscrip.com Call or email Deanne if you want to preorder scrip or see what is on-hand. rickdeanne@outlook.com
