St. Patrick's Parish Council met on Tuesday, 9/24 in Volga. One item discussed was the rental contract for the St. Patrick Parish Center. Fees were set and the contract has been approved. Rental fees are $150 for parishioners with a $150 deposit—$200 for non-parishioners with a $200 deposit. The rental agreement is also printed and ready, so if anyone is interested in renting the building, or if you know someone who is interested, please get in touch with Sandy Klaus: 928-7200 or email her: dbq072bm@dbqarch.org

Back to Church Sunday Parish Breakfast
Parish Council made French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage for 100 people, thank you Jill Settle for decorating!
How much does it take to serve 100 people? 13 dozen eggs, 20 lbs of sausage, 3 bottles of syrup, 6 sticks of butter, 5 boxes of pancake mix, 3 loaves of Texas Toast, 2 white, 2 choc, 3 OJ, and coffee. There was $328 collected in the Free Will Donation jar, thank you! We had a few expenses, but many items were donated, and we are thankful to the Edgewood Locker for selling the sausage at wholesale cost.
Thanks to all the came to breakfast! We are thinking this may have been the last breakfast in the basement. NEXT UP, Parish Center!

Faith Formation
Faith Formation kickoff Mass on September 5th at Starmont was a success! There were 470 people in attendance. Students and parishioners from all 5 parishes took part in Mass. Thank you to all that helped make this night such a success!
St. Patrick's, St. Marks, and other churches in our area had our annual Ecumenical Faith on the Field on Wednesday, Sept. 25th. This year, we had Jim Jelinski as our featured speaker. Jim is well-known across the United States as an inspiring motivational speaker. We heard many inspiring stories and we learned how we can help stop bullying. We thank the band that played, and we enjoyed the Schulte family music too! It was great to be together on the football field. Thank you to all that joined and helped make this night happen!
Stewardship
Oct 20th Pay it Forward Fund
The money that is in the collection basket and not in a budget envelope on Oct. 20 will go toward the Pay it Forward Fund. The October fund will go to Craig and Karen Wulfekuhle from Petersburg. Craig, Karen, and their family attend Mass at St. Patrick's quite often. Craig was burned on the hog farm on Labor Day, and he has been in the burn unit in the Iowa City hospital since then. The burns cover 53-55% of his body. He is making progress and headed in the right direction, but he will be there awhile longer. He just went under another skin graft surgery on 9/27. It's a long process, but they are grateful he is headed in the right direction! Keep the prayers going, and thank you in advance for your generosity.

SCRIP
A total of $2500 worth of Scrip was sold after the September 1st Mass, and $3500 sold after the September 15th Mass; the profit (percentage) goes toward the building fund. Thank you for your continued support!

Children's Liturgy of the Word starts Sunday! Children from ages 3 to 7 are welcome to come downstairs during the readings. Thank you to the adults that help with that ministry! If you'd like to help, please fill out a time and talent survey.

They will bring a projector along for visuals. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Thank you in advance Rosary Warriors for spending the night with us.
