The church calling group list has been updated to add all parishioner names; if you see inaccuracies, please let Sandy know. Group leaders have phone numbers, so if your phone number changes, please let Sandy know, and it can be updated and forwarded. These groups can be used to call people for a general "check in", funeral dinner food, church cleaning, parish functions, etc.

St. Patrick Announcements

All parishioners should have received a letter stating guidelines for reopening church this week. If you didn't receive one, let Sandy know asap dbq072bm@dbqarch.org.

St. Patrick's first public Sunday Mass will be at 8:00 am June 21st in the Parish Center. Reminders from the letter:

Please stay home if you don't feel well or are not comfortable attending public worship--for now, everyone is dispensed by the Archbishop. Mass will still be live streamed and broadcast on KMCH each Sunday.
Please use hand sanitizer when entering church.
Adults, please wear a mask; we will have a few available if needed.
Hospitality will open the door for you, seat you (front to back), and dismiss you (back to front).
Offertory baskets will not be passed; the basket will be on the back table when you enter the parish center.
Holy Communion will be distributed in the hand.
Bulletins with worship aides will be on the back table when you enter. Please take one when entering and take it with you when you leave.

Wondering why our church bells ring at 8:00 each night on M-F? The area ministerial associations will continue ringing church bells briefly each night at 8 pm as a sign of solidarity and a call to pray for the country. MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00 pm, in Edgewood, Colesburg, Elkader, Strawberry Point, and Volga. The bells will continue to ring through the month of June. THANK YOU Les Simons for ringing the bell!

St. Patrick's Church will be open for private prayer on Tuesdays from 8 am to 8 pm (thank you Leo for opening the church and Lester for locking up).

Social distancing and fewer than 10 at one time is recommended. Sanitizer is available for before/after the church visit.

This will continue through the month of June.

HOLY HOUR will be on Wednesday evenings through the month of June from 6:30-7:30 pm in all of the Emmaus Pastorate churches. We have an opening prayer, the rosary, private prayer, and a closing prayer. ALL are welcome! Following the CDC guidelines are recommended.

St. Patrick's had a special baptism on Sunday, May 17th. With the social distancing rules, the baptism was private, but we look forward to celebrating together at some point in the future. Congratulations to all!

Faith Formation

First Holy Communion will be celebrated for our five 2nd graders on June 7th. Please say a special prayer for them as they get ready to receive this Holy Sacrament. This will be for their families and sponsors only.

Don't forget to pick up Children's bulletins in the bulletin box each week.

Beginning June 21, when we begin having Mass in Colesburg again, Children's Bulletins will be available during the usual part of Mass--children will be allowed to go forward and get one from a basket. Children's bulletins will also be available on the back table after Mass.

Social Concerns

$100 Fareway card from the Pay-It-Forward Fund went to Shirley Vorwald after a surgery. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

THANK YOU to all that were able to donate May 15/16 to our food drive. The entire Colesburg Community was involved. We were able to donate 362 pounds of food to the Clayton County Food Pantry! We are fortunate to be in such a great, giving community!

SCRIP

We continue to have Scrip for sale. It can be mailed, dropped off curbside, or can be picked up Sun, June 21 before/after Mass. Call or text Deanne to order ahead of time, so it can be ready Scrip will not be sitting out for people to gather at this time: 563-542-1358.
